Orlando Maternity Photographer: Target Theme Baby Shower Party

This one is for all those women who go to Target and “peruse.”  Because, you don’t tell Target what you need, Target tells you what you need and before you know it, you’re spending hundreds! LOL  This Target theme baby shower was so much fun to create and put together.

When Linda’s friends mentioned a Target theme baby shower, Linda eyes lit up. When Vivi and I saw this, we began the planning process.  I have to admit, I googled it.  There were a few things on pinterest but to my surprise,  this theme is not often used.  So, I also paid Target a visit (for inspiration and for Target to tell me what I needed and spend money I wasn’t planning on spending lol).

With the help of my Silhouette and Cricut machines, I helped Vivi craft the decorations. I’ll do a general breakdown of what you’ll need.

Materials:

  • Red and White Construction Paper
  • Red & White balloons
  • Embroidery Rings
  • Silhouette or Cricut Machine
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Rubber bands
  • Command Strips

Target Credit Card

  1. Use a large circular dish to trace circles and create the Target logo
  2. Using the Silhouette program,  cut out all the texts required
  3. Hand cut the gold credit card chip
  4. Use glue to tape the letters and logos on to a large red construction paper

I used the Silhouette program to create the small dog, bag, and shopping cart icons.  It was all done free hand with some time and patience.

Name Tags

  1. With the use of Photoshop, create the “mommy” and “daddy” name tags
  2. Print with a color printer on thick paper.
  3. Cut out the name tag and use tape to wear.

Balloon Decorations

  1. A small manual air pump was used to create balloons of different sizes
  2. Use rubber bands to tie the balloons together and to tie them to the embroidery rings
  3. Use command strips to hang the the rings on the wall
