Melody and I have known each other since 2008. She was my vice president in the Vietnamese Student Associate at the University of Florida. Through the 10 years of friendship, not much has changed as far as Melody’s sweet, positive, and understanding personality. She’s always had a way of easing your fears and making you feel comfortable.
Before our session, Melody and her husband, Trung, spent time at the urgent care for their son who ended up having pink eye. They were supposed to have a relaxed day together but, life happened. When they went home, Melody prepared her family for their photo shoot. She dressed everyone and packed all the props. The moment they got to the the session, Melody realized that she had not packed for nor prepped herself! She forgot her matching outfit! Being the positive person she is, Melody didn’t dwell on this. She decided to embrace reality, enjoy her time with her family, and smile and laugh like nothing was wrong. And, her joy completely showed in the photos. In the end, what matters most are the memories you make with your family and not what you’re wearing!
You are always so welcoming and so uplifting. You don’t let things get to you and you learn how to enjoy the present. Mel, your smile and positivity are contagious and I am so blessed to call you my friend! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your beautiful family! I always enjoy having Mo in front of my camera and watching him grow. And its always a pleasure catching up with you! May your holidays be filled with just as much joy as I witness during our photo shoot!
