Orlando Engagement Photographer: Keystone Colorado | Winter Wonderland

We got out the car, ran across the street in Keystone, Colorado, and I pointed to the spot where I wanted Evan and Pauline to stand for their photo session.  Evan stood there, rubbed his hands together, took a deep breath, and finally removed his coat.  It was 1 degree outside— YES, 1 degree!  Evan had NO layers on and he was totally feeling the cold.  I still don’t know how Evan was not shivering as he stood among the snow dusted trees!

Pauline and I casually planned this photo shoot in Keystone, Colorado. We both dreamed of trees that were covered in snow.  Boy did our dream come true.  It snowed for 3 days straight which added up to 26 inches!  All of that snow left a winter wonderland.  It seriously felt like a dream.  We’ve both been to Keystone multiple times but have never seen such a picturesque setting.

Our  photoshoot started during sunrise at the base of the mountain.  Later, we caught the gondola up to the top of the mountain.  And, although it was sunny, the higher altitude made it just as cold as the base of the mountain.  We scoped out this beautiful tree lined area but getting to that spot required some effort.  Walking down was EASY, although we sunk in to the snow a few times, but having to walk up that hill was SO hard.  We really should have brought our snowboards and boarded to the next lift to take us back up the mountain lol.

I look at this photos and am still obsessed!  Shooting in the snow is challenging but the results are just SO WORTH IT!  At least, that’s what Pauline and I kept telling ourselves!  But, I think it was more to convince the freezing Evan to be ok with it lol.

Thank you SO much Evan and Pauline for braving the single digit temps for these photos!  Ya’ll look A-Mazinggggg!  And next time you’re in front of my camera, I expect a proposal!
