It was 730pm.  Mark had just arrived to Kadence Orlando for his wedding,  dressed in his grey suit.  He looked perfect, except, he was missing his tie.  A tie he never learned how to tie himself. A tie that Jen had always did for him.  His friends attempt to help him.  It came out crooked.  They tried again– it was too long.   That’s when Mark and Jen snuck away.  Jen tied the tie. And it was perfect.

Mark & Jen’s love story has been 10+ years in the making.  They met and started dating in Gainesville, FL while attending the University of Florida.  Soon after, they moved to England  Their adventures then took them to NYC where Mark worked under Morimoto.  Eventually, they chose Orlando and this is where they opened their wildly successful restaurant, Kadence (formerly Kappo).  They’ve attracted clients like Emeril, Alton Brown, and the owners of the Orlando Magic (this shows just how GOOD they are!) ANDDDDD they had the famous Miho Imada, Japan’s top woman sake brewer, personally mail them a bottle of her best sake as a wedding gift!!!!

Mark and Jen have created a life for themselves that they’ve always dreamed of.  A life where they get to maximize their time together while doing something they both love- owning a restaurant

(with co-owner Lordfer).  They have always dreamed of having a job where they can take a month hiatus to travel, live, and relax.  That is just what they’ve been doing all July long.  They have traveled to Jamaica, Spain, Portugal, and Austria.  Their honeymoon will take them to Wine country, Napa.  And best of all, they were able to celebrate their marriage.

Mark and Jen, it truly is an honor for me to help capture your wedding day.  I have admired you two and your amazing talent for so long and am so lucky to say that I got to photograph the wedding of two of the BEST chefs. It was a day specifically tailored to your personalities- relaxed, laid back, and fun! May this be the start of a wonderful marriage! Congratulations!!!!

And major cred to Jami for the amazing job she did planning and coordinating the entire event!  You TRANSFORMED that Kadence Orlando parking lot and made it soooo wedding ready!  Andddddd you created something for Mark and Jen that was so TOTALLY them!!  Your hard work did NOT go unnoticed!! Great job, girl!!!
